This patient experience training is delivered as a flexible e-learning programme, allowing candidates to complete the course at their own pace, at a time and place that suits both individual learners and organisational needs.

- Describe the impact of effective communication on the patient experience.
- Identify communication behaviours that enhance or negatively impact the patient experience.
- Explain what anxiety is, how it can affect people and what might cause it.
- Develop skills to support anxious patients both pre-scan day and on scan day.
- Develop rapport-building and communication skills with anxious patients.
- Recognise the importance of language use and develop active listening skills.
